We’ve all made choices in our lives that don’t conform to our values. Take a sobering moment to look back at some of those times.
Most of us aren’t too happy when we confront ourselves as hobbyists. Alarmingly, most of us learn to rationalize, developing a Hobby Lobby that out speaks our Value Lobby.
There are lots of very good reasons for our compromises. “I have to keep the roof over my head and feed my children” are two of them. Rather than question feasibility, cue the cheerful music and find some less life-threatening places to examine for change.
